DC High-Voltage Generators
DC high-voltage generators are primarily used to test the performance of various insulating materials under high DC voltage, the DC discharge behavior of long air gaps, and the insulation performance of high-capacitance specimens (such as power cables, power capacitors, and generator sets); to measure the leakage current of insulating materials and high-voltage electrical products; and to conduct DC high-voltage tests on ultra-high-voltage DC transmission equipment (such as converter transformers). DC high-voltage generators also serve as DC charging power supplies for equipment such as impulse voltage generators, impulse current generators, and oscillation circuits.
Functions
It features a rational design, with a rated voltage range of 100 kV to 2,400 kV, high output current, low voltage drop, and a low ripple factor. It employs a thyristor-based self-tracking voltage regulation system and automatic polarity reversal, offering advanced technical performance.
Characteristics
1. Low voltage drop;
2. Low pulsation coefficient;
3. High measurement accuracy, stable output voltage, and strong resistance to interference;
4. At the end of the test and when switching test specimens, the unit automatically discharges the main capacitor by short-circuiting it to ground, ensuring excellent safety performance;
5. High degree of automation, with both manual and automatic control modes;
6. The ±1200 kV, 500 mA bipolar DC generators manufactured by our company for State Grid’s UHV base and China Southern Power Grid’s Gaohai Bo UHV base have been operating at full load outdoors for over ten years.
